We were treated to an author skype with Jan Thornhill, 3 guest readers and some special time with our grade 5 buddy class. What a great day!
Reading is an important part in child development in the primary years. Whether your child is reading to you or you are reading to them, they have a goal to read 10-20 minutes a day. In addition, make sure to be practicing the word wall words/sounds they were given that week and to be practicing words/sounds from previous weeks.
We are practicing to write our names the "Grade one way" (Capital to start, lower case letters afterwards)
